Expertise and Training
Adam’s expertise spans a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, sports injuries, postural issues and overall mobility enhancement.
Adam graduated with a Master of Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences from Southern Cross University. His final-year practicum placement at Chirn Park Health Group led him to continue practising there today.
He has completed post-graduate training in:
- Basic and advanced dry needling (CPD Health Courses)
- Kinesiotaping (RockTape)
- Nerve pain and pelvic pain courses (Bower Bird CPD)
- Visceral Manipulation and Trauma courses (Barral Institute of Australia)
Personal Journey to Osteopathy
Adam’s interest in osteopathy began while receiving treatment for scoliosis. His osteopath’s guidance, including advice on daily activities and basic exercises, sparked his desire to pursue osteopathy as a career.
Rehabilitation Experience
While at university, Adam experienced two tears to his elbow tendon (tennis elbow). Through his research, he discovered the benefits of Radial Shockwave Therapy alongside exercise rehabilitation. This personal experience shaped his approach to treating tendon injuries in his patients.
Adam’s Treatment Approach
Adam uses a range of osteopathic techniques, including:
- Soft tissue treatments
- Joint mobilisation and manipulation
- Balanced ligamentous tension
- Myofascial release techniques
He combines these methods with patient education and exercise prescriptions to ensure long-term results. Adam also incorporates Visceral Manipulation and Craniosacral Therapy when appropriate.
Adam also recommends the inclusion of Dry Needling or Radial Shockwave Therapy where suitable for his patients.
Life Outside Osteopathy
In his spare time, Adam enjoys spending time with his husky at the beach and taming his cockatiel birds.
